Nancy Broadway Smith passed away at 4:00 AM Thursday morning while residing in Baywood Crossing Rehab. & Health Care Center in Pasadena, Texas. Her daughter Dana Smith Swanson will be posting plans for the funeral on Facebook.

[UPDATE:] From Gene: It will be at Rosewood Chapel at cemetery next Sat. 11 AM. Rosewood is at corner of Pasadena Blvd and Beltway 8.

Nancy will be missed by all classmates that remember her beautiful smiling face. She married Charles Smith from class of ’56. They had a daughter by the name of Dana Smith Swanson whom you can follow on Facebook. She has a wonderful family and children. Nancy and Charles had a long happy marriage, always together, even living last several years in a nursing home in Pasadena, TX. Goodbye Nancy, we love you lots.

Nancy has been one of my best friends along with her husband Charles since we met at Austin High so many years ago. I shall miss her dearly as we shared so many fun times thru the years. She was my bridesmaid and we have our first children just weeks apart. Nancy, myself, Gene Watters Uzzle & Myrna Noe spent a weekend together a few years ago. Winona Dutton was mine & Nancy’s best friend also. There will never be another Nancy. She was one of a kind.
