James Norman Flagg, Sr Passes

We are very sad to have to report another passing so soon after the others and in the face of the tragic flooding of Southeast Texas. James (Jimmy) Flagg passed away on Sunday after falling ill in July. There will be a visitation on Monday, September 4th. (details are below).

James Norman Flagg, Sr.
1938-2017

James (Jim) Flagg, Sr., 79, of Sugar Land, Texas died Sunday, August 27, 2017. He married the love of his life Judith Ann (Owen), and recently celebrated their 59th anniversary. A key word for his life is service. He spent his entire life helping and serving others: family, friends, community and country. He served as an Army Reservist, a Houston Police Officer, Director of Major Crimes Task Force for Fort Bend and Assistant Chief of Police for Richmond, Texas. Concurrent with these positions, Jim also was a licensed insurance agent and ran his own agency.

Services:
Visitation, Monday, September 4th from 5-7pm at Sugar Land Mortuary.
A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, September 5th, 10am at First United Methodist in Sugar Land with burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to FUMC Sugar Land’s We Care ministry.
