S. F. Austin History

Here is a link to a document covering the history of Stephen F. Austin High School provided by Bill Hubert and a friend.

The document is an Adobe PDF file. If you don’t have the Adobe Reader installed, click here to download it. Make sure you uncheck the checkbox that tells you to install Chrome when you download the reader so that you aren’t forced to install something you don’t want. See this picture:

If you don’t know if you have the Reader installed, try the link. If you can read the file, you have the Reader.

UPDATE: The link is now fixed.

Change In User Registration Process

Due to a very large number of attempted spammers joining the site and causing me to have to delete thousands of unpublished spam posts, I’m turning off the “anyone can join” feature. I will be able to add people to the registration manually but no one will be able to join without contacting me first.

Fortunately, none of these posts have shown up on the site, but it’s more of an administrative hassle.

So if you or someone you know of someone who’d like to join the site as a subscriber or contributor, please let me know at jeff@jeffphillips.net.

Thank you for your patience!

SPAM Posters Cluttering Site

I’ve noticed a bunch of odd users attempting to post things on this site that are just plain gibberish. So, I have change the default registration role to “contributor” so that each post must be approved. This will stop these things from happening.

Hopefully, you will get an email about this post which means email notifications are working.

All Is Well In The DC Area

After our power outages over the last week or two, we’ve made sure that all things are working well on the web site and with our email as well, which had gone down for almost a week.

BUT: It’s all better now! We can get emails, you can make posts and read the site.

Power Outage!

After a while without power and some damage to our hosting facility here in the Washington, DC area, the site is back up. There are some settings that may not work at this time, but I thought it would be better to have the site mostly up if not just 100%.

I’ll keep working on it. However, our email is still down so we will not recieve any emails sent to us.

Thank you for your patience!
