Working to * move ALL DREAMBOOK notices * to the new CLASS of 57 BLOGSITE

To all classmates: It’s a new year and we are working to complete the new Class of ’57 Blogsite. This means we must de-activate the old “Dreambook” software and introduce you to making “POSTS” on the new site. Every entry that you saw in the old Dreambook is considered a “post” on the new site.

Remembering Larry’s Birthday

If my memory is correct this first week of December would have been Larrys 73rd birthday. I think 7th,8th,or 9th. I still think about my buddy all the time and I feel others of you do also. Good health to all of you and your families.Happy Holiday’s.See ya.

Remembering Larry

Hi everyone.

These last few days have been a little rough for me as I remember the second anniversary of Larry’s death. I thought it was the ninth. I then remembered where I was and what I was doing when Hugo called and told me the news.

As it turned out my wife and her mother and father and myself were returning from the Texas MUSIC Hall OF FAME in Carthage. This was on the fifth. I hope I have it correct. I do remember it was around the first week of July. Sorry about the confusion it happens after you have had a stroke. This will be a day that sticks in our memory. To me it is like the Kennedy assassination and Elvis death. As I have written in other posts I really miss the trips to the country and sitting, walking or riding on his four wheel Gator discussing old times or current events. As I believe you could put Larry in a room full of doctors or a room full of common laborers and he would have knowledge of them and any and everything in between. As for Larry’s wit, look and read the captions on the 50th reunion photos. What a genius.

I will always miss you buddy and think of you often.

The hotel will block rooms for both Friday and Saturday nights at a total cost per night of $129.00 which includes a full American breakfast, two drinks (beer or wine) during Happy Hour at the bar on the 2nd floor, cookies and milk at bedtime as well as all of the taxes. We hope you will make hotel reservations for Friday night and gather in the 2nd floor lounge about 7:00pm for a casual visit. Drinks and appetizers can be ordered individually, but there is no full dinner menu available. However, there are lots of great restaurants nearby on the ground floor of the Rice Hotel/condo complex.

Please send payment for the buffet luncheon to Sue Pope/13661 Lakeside Place/Willis, TX 77318. Be sure to include the name of your spouse or guest so we can have name tags ready for your arrival. If you know of anyone who has not received this information, let us know. We are including the classes of ’55 and ’57, but please share our information with anyone we have missed. We have had a large committee working diligently to get the word out to as many Mustangs as we can find. Don’t miss this opportunity to see all your “old” friends.
